Research excellence in the areas of Cellular Biochemistry, Structural Biology and Gene Expression

Research

Research in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology falls into three general areas: Gene Expression, Cellular Biochemistry and Structural Biology.

The three groups are highly interactive and collaborative, both within and between the focus areas.

W. M. Keck Program in Chromatin Structure and Function

Due to recent developments in the field of human genome sequencing, it has become even more important to better understand the molecular mechanisms through which the genome is controlled. Building on the cooperative research strengths and activities of four CSU Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology researchers, the Program in Chromatin Structure and Function consists of innovative research in several important areas.
